Visit Stockholm

It's already been a while since I was in Stockholm (it was in the end of the summer) but I still wanted to share with you some amazing restaurant dishes I enjoyed. By now the menus have changed but the quality of the food they serve hasn't....I'm sure of that.
Stockholm is such a beautiful city and sooo full of good restaurants and cafés. I'm not sure I've ever had a bad food experience there.
I'm just going to let my pics talk for themselves with just short descriptions. Stockholm is definitely worth visiting :)

TAYLOR'S AND JONES WITH A TWIST

A small hotdog restaurant in Hornstull known for their homemade sausages and sometimes quirky ingredients. I just went here for a quick bite and it was just perfect for that occasion. For me Hotdogs are something you are supposed to eat with your hands... I tried and almost managed until I realised I was making a mess :D

ADAM & ALBIN

Scallop with Mussel Mayo

Brianza Creamy French Cheese with Maple syrup (on the left), Crab, Egg and chives in the back, Bonito flakes and Kimchi Radishes (on the right)

TURBOT IN FLATBREAD /spring onion salsa / shredded cabbage / trout roe

QUAIL AND SWEETBREAD SCEWER / browned onion / corn / smoked soy

ARTICHOKE / flatbread / wild asparagus / sour cream

WHITE PEACHES / almond sorbet / basil / cream

GASTROLOGIK

Probably one of the best meals I have ever had in Sweden. This evening was perfect, not only for the food but for the overall experience. The food is top notch and so well prepared with lots of local and self grown ingredients but what I liked most was the atmosphere of the restaurant. I like how casual and relaxed you feel while eating with total strangers at a fine dining restaurant.
I definitely recommend the shared table....You will never know what kind of fun discussions you will have with random people from different parts of the world. One thing though that most probably will be in common for all of you and that is the love for food.

Flatbread with Smoked Mackerel, Sour Cream and Summer Vegetables

RÅKULTUR

There's lots of nice sushi places in Stockholm but somehow I really like this one because of their interesting ingredients. You can have sushi with crispy salmon skin or burnt fish fins etc.

GÅRDEN

I wouldn't go here just for the food....but if the sun is shining it's a really nice place to go for a glass of wine or two.....a few glasses later you will most probably feel famished and will need something to eat. The food was really good and didn't let me down and was just right for the occasion.
What else do you need...sun, wine and some spanish and latino styled snacks...ceviche, fish tacos, beef tartar, Tiger shrimps pil pil etc.

RICHE

Can't leave Stockholm without having had a toast Skagen and prawns. If you can get smoked prawns....even better.
I was heading back home but wanted to go to the market hall for a lunch before my flight but unfortunately it was closed. So I headed to a restaurant close by known for their brunches. This was probably a better choice than the market hall.  I sat out on the terrace and ordered both prawns on the shell and the Skagen.....maybe prawn overload....but not for me...I was a happy bunny.

And then just a few random pics of Polkagris peppermint candy canes
