Visit Copenhagen

It's been a while since I was last in Copenhagen and would love to visit this wonderful city again soon. The city is so beautiful and feels so relaxed with lots of down to earth cafés and shops, but for me, the main point of interest is the food :) Copenhagen is well known for having the best restaurant in the world  for many years, Noma (which I have yet to visit). Last time I visited the city of The Little Mermaid, my friend and I decided not to visit Noma and use up all our money in one restaurant but to enjoy good food every day at more affordable places. The places we visited were superb, Casual and really cool restaurants with food to die for. Copenhagen is definitely a trendsetter when it comes to the food scene. The first time I was introduced to Biodynamic natural wines, foraged ingredients and so many vegetables prepared in the most imaginative way was here (something which is now very common in high end restaurants).

Here is my list of where to eat and what to see when visiting Copenhagen

Visit:

The Tivoli: just have a walk around or have a few thrilling rides and join in on the laughter

The Little Mermaid  statue (a tribute to the author H.C. Andersen) Mostly cause I love to look at all the tourists taking pics and posing :D and of course who hasn't grown up reading about the little Mermaid :)

The Harbour: with it's colourful houses (the restaurants here are very touristic but I still enjoy the ambience.)
Enjoy a glass of wine, smørrebrød or an ice cream with freshly made waffle cones)

Christiania (I love walking around in this quirky little community of its own)

Unfortunately I don't have pics from the inside cause its forbidden.

Papierøen (paper island with a huge hangar filled with street food stalls)

Otherwise I just enjoy biking or walking around the parks and old streets visiting cafés and shops :)

And don't forget to visit the market hall :)
